JSC LAIMA HAS SUPPORTED ALMOST 70 SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS IN 2007
“The support of children, orphans and disabled people is the basis of the politics of our social responsibility. We have supported a number of organizations and events both with financial resources and products. The company participated actively in the charity project ‘Nāc līdzās’ (Come Along) during Christmas time. Seeing the positive effect we can leave on the lives of many children, we will continue providing our support this year as well,” says Normunds Ozoliņš, JSC LAIMA Chairman of the Board.
“We assign a lot of importance to every event we organize for children in need of support and help of their peers. With the resources allocated by JSC LAIMA, we have managed to organize three Easter events that, I’m quite sure, will rest in the children’s memories for a long time to come,” says Sandra Brice, president of the Latvian Orphan Fund.
“We used financial resources assigned by JSC LAIMA in the sum of 1,000 lats to award the best Latvian teachers working with the most talented students at a festive ceremony. Thus, we are aiming at having more talented students in our country to carry Latvia’s name into the world,” says Henriks Danusēvičs, President of the Atis Kronvalds Fund.
In December 2007, the Ministry for Children and Family Affairs of the Republic of Latvia pronounced JSC LAIMA a “Family-friendly company”, thus appreciating the positive attitude of the company towards both its employees and society in general.
