Laima – the taste and scent of sweet, aromatic, appetizing chocolate; the taste inspiring, spoiling and encouraging to dream. Back in 1870 in Riga Theodor Riegert began chocolate manufacturing traditions in Latvia establishing his own confectioner's shop; its apparent heir today is the well-known Laima. His full-cycle method in chocolate manufacturing when cocoa beans are turned into chocolate is still used at Laima. To emphasize the origin of products and the lasting manufacturing traditions, special Laima sweets are labelled with the Th. Riegert trademark.
